Today No TODAY

Was not able to get a copy of TODAY at the bus-stop opposite Bedok MRT station this morning at 7:20am. I guess the delivery van might have broken down somewhere. Maybe it's the printing press problem. Couldn't get the papers printed out in time.

Lots of people in a queue that didn't move since there was no TODAY for distribution. It only moved because those who realised there was no TODAY, left the queue.

Somehow such technical faults don't seem to happen to Straits Times heh?

You can view it online. There's no need to waste your time queueing up for the paper.

To Snake: i know i can view it on-line. But go to wait for the pages to load. It's more shiok to flip thru the papers than to view them on-line. The feel is totally different :)

I can imagine if there is no Star papers for a day. Many people here who are non-Internet-savvy would be restless. How much do your dailies cost? Over here, it's RM1.20 and RM1.50 on Sats and Suns. Even though I go online, I still like to own a physical copy. Like you said, "more shiok to flip thru the papers than to view them online." Besides, not everything is covered online.

To HS: Straits Times and The New Paper regardless of weekday or weekend edition are sold for S$0.80 per copy. That's RM1.9143! :p Yaloh. On-line edition does not have everything that is printed.

To LIS: Yaloh. Queues are always especially long whenever something is given out free.

To Serene: Amen.
