Bad Experience With Jetstar Asia

On the night of Saturday (23 February 2008) at around 1930 hours, my wife and i were at the Phuket International Airport to catch our Jetstar Asia flight (flight number: 3K583) back to Singapore.

When we reached the airport, we realised from the LCD screens which display departure information, that our flight had been canceled.

No one informed us of the flight cancellation at all. We were left stranded at the airport. And Jetstar was not forthcoming with any reasonable explanation on why the flight was canceled.

As it was not advisable to stay overnight at the airport’s departure hall, we had no choice but to book a room at a nearby hotel (Airport Resort).

Jetstar sucks. I wonder if Tiger Airways is better.

In the end, we had no choice but to buy 2 tickets with cash from Thai AirAsia to get back to Singapore on Sunday (24th February 2008) at 1045 hours. Our AirAsia’s flight was delayed too. I suppose both AirAsia and Jetstar budget airlines are notorious for delaying their flights. Probably just to get more over the counter cash sales from last minute passengers to fill up the plane. It certainly isn’t profitable to charge a low fare and have a plane that is half-filled all the time.

I suspect the reason why our Jetstar flight was canceled was because my wife and i were the only passengers who were supposed to be on board the plane. We didn’t see any other passengers who were supposed to be on board the same plane as us.

We went to Phi Phi Island. Maya Bay was super-crowded. It was nothing like the paradise depicted in Leonardo DiCaprio's The Beach. This is what i call paradise found and lost.

Ha, ha, ha...! :D I would go MIA every now and then because i'm busy with my work. Everyday cannot finish my work ;p Actually Phuket is an island off the West coast of the south-western coast of Thailand above Malaysia's Langkawi.

Have you gone to any of the following places before? Langkawi, Tioman, Pulau Redang. i haven't.

i have to try Tiger Airways because it's a subsidiary of our prestigious Singapore Airlines. And it's not been known to delay its flights, so far :)

Ooppss!! I misread. Maybe because I thought "Phi Phi Island. Maya Bay" was located in the Philippines

No the only place i went is Malacca, Genting at Malaysia and Tanjung pinang at Indonesian Island of Bintang?

I prefer my trip to Malacca and Genting Highland. It was superb even through I was just an 8 or 9 year old boy (can't remember)

I hate my trip to Tanjung Pinang. It's extremely boring but don't mind the cheap item due to Indonesian Rupiah.

I would like to visit Phuket one day. My lecturer keep talking about Phuket and how good North East thailand weather was.

Well the flight I would like to try is Tiger airways. I'm sure they won't keep delaying the flight unless mechanical failure or something.

"Phi Phi Island. Maya Bay"
How come it's crowded? It won't be nice to relax on some crowded places when the scenery was superb.
