Leech Friend

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Do you have a leech friend who's always asking for favors (monetary or otherwise)?

He would always be borrowing money from you. Or when he has some problem he can’t fix, he expects and wants you to fix it for him. For example, computer problem, etc.

And when you decide not to help him, he gets upset with you. As if the reason for your existence is to owe him favors. Such a leech has no qualms about troubling his friends for help. He doesn't feel bad at all about imposing upon his friends for help.

Would you keep your distance from such a leech friend? Would you avoid him at all costs? Or would you willingly let him suck your blood?

When I have troubles of my own, I don’t impose on my friends to help me. They owe me nothing. I would ask them for help nicely. If they can’t or don’t or choose not to help me, I would hold nothing against them at all.

正所谓靠人不如靠自己。(It’s always better to depend on oneself then on somebody else.)

The best way to keep a friend is to lend them nothing and owe them nothing.

Unpaid debts sour relationships, even the best of friendships.

Hahahaha... I'm the leech! Just kidding lah.

I used to have a leech colleague, and I was too kind to turn her down all the time. Now that I'm transfered out, I sometimes freak out when she asks me out to lunch. I'm always thinking, er, what does she want now?

True enough, she tried to borrow some money from me again, not so long ago. I told her that H would kill me if he found out. And that was it. She probably thought I was threathening her with H. It's just too bad for her...

To HS: I believe we reap what we sow.

To LIS: It's a good thing you have managed to rid yourself of a leech colleague :) Thanks for teaching me how to animate my pics :)

yes i agree and these so called friends usually come to you only when they need favour/help, which is damn sickening.

i always believe this: Dun do to others wat u dun wan others do to u(vice versa)

IMO: if this friend goes too far and too much, it's time to keep a distance.. coz some ppl are simply "bue zi dong" u know.. we have to educate them.. hehe

To Serene: Yaloh. For these imposing friends, we really have to avoid them like a plauge at all costs, if we want to prevent them from sucking our blood endlessly :p

"Give first before you receive" - You have to give your friend that quote one way or another. It's the way of life.

To TYC: i only give a few times. If the same friend continues to make use of me like a leech wanting to suck my blood, i have to put a stop to it.
