Hit & Tell

Last Friday, I brought my son to watch Bolt 3-D at GV Tampines.

On the way there, something untoward happened.

As I was watching the road and filtering right, I felt my car being hit from behind on the right.

I stopped the car and saw this black Honda Civic in contact with the right rear of my car.

Apparently, this bugger didn’t check his left blind spot before filtering left.

He claimed it’s not his fault.

As the car did not belong to the driver, his brother called me last night to make some unreasonable demands.

Even though it was his brother who used the front left of his car to hit my right rear and he had the audacity and cheek to ask me to pay for the damage to his car. Bloody mother-f#@king asshole idiot. He thinks I’m a fool. F#@ker even claimed he did not call to quarrel.

It’s bloody f#@king ironic right? You call somebody to make an unreasonable demand and claim you do not want to quarrel?

My message to him is: GO F#@K YOURSELF, YOU BLOODY MOTHER-F#@KING IDIOTIC MORONIC ASSHOLE!

I had already made report at IDAC.

Now can only wait and let the insurance company decide who’s at fault and liable for damages. This can take at least 3 to 6 months.

Wah lau... under Singaporean law, as long as he hits your back with his front, no matter how it happened, he has to pay mah. How can you use your back to hit his front unless you reverse into him? That's not possible if you're DRIVING FORWARD right? I think you should report the phone call to the police and tell them that he tried to intimidate you leh.

I've had a couple of incidents happen to me like that when I was driving a super-suay car (a Subaru Vivio, which I sold a long long time ago). I didn't even bother to talk to the people who hit me. Both times, the insurance companies decided that the people behind me had to pay me lah. It's a no brainer.

To LIS: Precisely. The rule of thumb is: Anyone who hits anybody else's butt has to pay for the damage. Problem is: Mine is a rear side hit not a direct rear hit. So the workshop which i went to told me there's only a 50:50 chance i could claim successfully against the bugger's insurance policy.

Oh well, nothing i can do now save waiting donkey months for results of insurance company's investigation.

To LIS: I guess the only thing good about your Subaru Vivio was its superior fuel-efficiency heh?

Back then, we had the Vivio. Now it's the Kia Picanto and Chery QQ that get "picked on" by big cars on the roads nowadays.

The vivio was an extremely well made car. I cannot complain about its cuteness or the quality of the finishings. And, it only cost me about S$18 to fill up one full tank in those days (about 10 years ago). Milage on a full tank is 500-550 kms! But since I was a very young person when I drove that vivio, I was always driving around going out with friends, so I needed to fill up at least once a week. Actually, I use less petrol now as compared to the bad old days leh. I only need to fill up once a month nowadays. LOL!

To LIS: You drive a Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4L(A) which is supposed to be a fuel-guzzler and you only need to top up once a month? I guess your mileage must be very, very low. I guess by the time your car is 3 years old, you can't even clock 50,000km :p

i think if you were to drive the hybrid Toyota Prius, you would only need to top up once every 2 months :p

To LIS: When you want to sell your Vitara you can always use low mileage as its selling point :)

So have your hubby bought the CR-V or the Crossroad? :)
