M1 Mixes Up Nokia Models

M1 mixed up Nokia 6125 and 6233 in its advertisement in TODAY newspaper (Tuesday, 12th December, 2006) on Page 15.

Nokia 6125 is a clam-shell phone.

Nokia 6233 is a candy-bar phone.

U must be checking out the mobile ads regularly to be familiar with the models. Eyeing on a Nokia model?

Did u call M1 to find out if they will honor the quoted price as of the model No or picture stated? :)

I just got a Nokia 6233 for free from SingTel. All the Hello! SingTel shops have been seeing crowds and long queues this past 2 weeks because of all these free handphone deals. Nevermind about the 24 month contract. These are mid of the range handphones and not the usual bottom of the range stuff :) I have already e-mailed M1 to inform them of their error.

So many photo models nowadays. There is a possibility that the advertisers may mixed phone models up.

To Leonard: If can afford 1, i would get a PDA phone too :)

To Lao Xing Zhou: All advertisers are required to make sure their advertisements are correct before publishing them. Otherwise they risk being the subject of ridicule and made fun of.

To err is human...it would be nice to see what they reply.

And a phone is just for basic communication, anything more is superfluous.

To Joepsc: Amen. To err is human. To err not is inhuman? A phone is much more that just a basic communication tool nowadays. It's also a status symbol. It can be used to take photos, videos, surfing internet. A high-end model even comes with Global Positioning System to help you navigate when you are lost :)

To Lao Xing Zhou: Oh man. It's a one way traffic. You can post comments on my blog. I can't do likewise on yours :(

To See Fei: Sony Ericsson W850i and Nokia 6233 are mid of the range models, and not bottom of the range stuff. So getting for free is certainly a steal. Hence the crowds and long queues at SingTel and M1 shops these past few weeks.
