Coins Are Heavy

Everyone is looking for ways and means to get rid of their coins. Because coins are heavy. It is a common sight to see people digging for coins to give to the cashier when making payment for their purchases.

Some hawkers even refuse to take coins from customers.

In the 1980s, coins are essential for taking buses. Everyone was looking for ways and means to get more coins.

With the advent of cashcards, stored-value ticket cards, etc. coins have become somwhat obsolete as they are bulky and heavy and nothing short of a nuisance at times. We need more coin deposit machines.

If dollar notes are also known as legal tender, then coins should likewise also be known as legal tough. As it's tough to carry tons of coins around wherever you go. Carrying around a thick wad of dollar notes in your wallet is hassle enough, let alone coins.

What about the item you want to buy which cost about $49.90 or $19.90

Why can't they just increase by 10 cent. I got no problem giving them $50 note and get the change back but getting coins as the change is surely irritating.

Al-through i don't mind using coin to buy newspaper, chocolate or drinks.

Chinese merchants like to price items at $49.90 because it's an auspicious, prosperous figure. What's going on between u and your imposter? Some feud, no doubt.

I still keep my old add just in case he hijack my old add.

As for that price isn't it irritating that you gave the cashier $50 but you have to wait for 10 cent change? mostly I say "keep the change"

isn't $49.90 a sly trick to make consumers believe that they are paying close to $40 when in actual fact they are paying ten cents short of $50?

thankfully in singapore the coins are not too heavy.
