Sleepy At Work

What do you do when you feel sleepy at work?

Do you rest your head forward down and take a nap?

Or do you wash your face, drink coffee, etc.

i think one of the most effective ways to stay awake is to chit chat with colleagues. But that's one of the things we don't do much.

So day in day out, it’s a constant struggle to stay awake at work.

That's the problem with a deskbound job. Insufficient blood circulation. Feel sleepy almost the whole day.

Having to travel around all day long definitely helps to keep one awake. A delivery man gets to do just that. Some of them drive to one shady corner, leave the vehicle’s air-con running and take a nap during lunch time.

I've personally walked into cubes of colleagues who were napping and started talking to them because I didn't notice. I was more embarrassed than them :)

But if I needed a nap, I would take one in my car. Sleeping in the office is a big no-no for me...

What would happen if your boss walks by your car while you're taking a nap in it? :p

It's when you are idle and sitting down that you will feel really sleepy.. stand up and exert the body to stay awake or close the eyes a while.

To Suzuki: On the contrary, we have so much work to do, we can't finish them every day. Day in day out, it's just clearing tons and tons of backlog that never ends.

Er... not quite possible for my boss to walk past my car. Remember? I have to park in B6 and he parks in B1?

Wah! You have to park so deep underground at B6 ah!? Is that the deepest basement there is? All these years, the deepest basement carpark level i've come across is B4. B6? Oh my goodness :p

Good thing your boss never goes to B6. Ha, ha, ha..! :D

actually, feeling sleepy is part of our sleep process. The body shuts down twice in a 24hr day. once during night and once after lunch. If we deprive our bodies of rest during one of these 2 shutdowns, we are going to feel worse off in the long run.

How many of us actually get to take afternoon naps after lunch? Afterall, this is not mainland China where having 2 hour afternoon nap after lunch is the norm.

You mean you get to nap after lunch? :)
