Let The Engines Roar!
F1 is finally here in Singapore. Hope I can hear the thunderous roar of the engines from where I stay. This roar sounds much nicer than the cacophony produced by the jet fighters over our heads almost every day of the week. I work in Ubi with Paya Lebar Airbase nearby. All the fighter planes landing in the airbase fly pass over our building when they are descending towards the airbase. The noise is highly intolerable especially when you’re standing outside the building.
Afterall, the thunderous roar of F1 car engines along the streets of Singapore’s downtown area would only happen once a year.
Nonetheless, I’m sure there would be people who would write in to the forum to complain about the noise produced by F1 cars.
The circuit practice happens on Saturday night (27 September 2008) at 10pm.

Totally agree with you about the noice. Once a year event is ok to have a noisy period.

Most of my pics are taken off the internet. Those that i take myself are mostly using my lowly Nokia 6300 :p Only shots on my Nightscape post were taken using a low-end Samsung NV3 :p
Can't hold a candle at all to your superior shots taken by a DSLR :)

Yeah F1 engine sound is nicer! It's different from those noise pollution created by F1 wannabes on our roads!! XD
Too bad, I am going Malaysia for a week, leaving tomorrow night, so will miss this great event. Wonder if there will be any "live" telecast?

quite interesting to have tat extra sound effect on top of the sound coming out from the television. haha

Who would complain about the noise? Nobody stay in town except tourist who's stay at Swiss hotel, Raffles hotel.

The racing cars were COOL to the max! Like you've said, the thunderous roar of the engine sounded nicer than jet fighters... It simply got me anticipating them to zoom pass me!
Braving the heat and the noise is not my idea of fun. The view is better on the tv set as we normally have it televised live. But then again, I'm not a fan.
