Circus Track

After reading Singapore Life and Times' The Circus and The Clown which also got published on TODAY, i felt compelled to add some more oil to the fire; rub some more salt on the wound, so to speak.

Ferrari's president, Luca di Montezemolo,

has proven that he's not able to lose gracefully by calling Singapore's F1 Grand Prix track a circus track. Ferarri suffered a humiliated defeat at the Singapore's inaugural night race.

Both Ferarri drivers, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen failed to score a single point from the race.

Mr Montezemolo should remember that by characterising the Singapore F1 race and track a "circus", it makes his drivers look like incompetent monkeys and his Ferrari team a bunch of goondu gorillas who cannot refuel a car properly. I even saw one of the goondu gorillas with a cigarette in his mouth during a pit stop for crying out loud.

Since Mr Montezemolo thinks the Singapore street circuit is a circus track, he and his team should turn up for next year's race dressed up as clowns.

Serious remark, hor?! Was there a reason why he made that remark?

Really sore loser. I was going to support Ferrari next year but i will choose other team instead. Surely why can't he mentions all these problems during the first day practise or the qualifying period on day2 (maybe not the safety car issue) on road condition & not enough overtaking space except for a few corners...i mean what do you expect for a street circuit.

I can't stand the fact that he said it's ok and support the issue with the refuel incident. Come-on you are not suppose to make those mistakes at this professional level. Someone must be responsible for the many mishap and incidents.

Let see how they can improved next year rather than asking the Singapore F1 to improve.

My personal point of view only.

To Serene: Yaloh. Very awtah indeed :p Last time the Jean Todt and Michael Schumacher collaboration was an A-Team, resulting in Schumacher winning so many races. Then again, that was also the time when F1 became boring to watch becos Schumacher was winning almost all the time :p

To Ming1881: Thanks for sharing your point of view :) Next year's F1 race in can be improved if Ferrari's team dresses up as clowns :p

To Quachee: He called the Singapore circuit a circus becos both his drivers, Massa and Raikkonen didn't win the race because Massa sped off the pit stop with the fuel hose still attached to his car and Raikkonen crashed his car. So he blamed the circuit for Ferrari's losses.

ya so that means actually, there is no basis for calling it a circus. i like the remark that he 'did provide the clowns'.

To Quachee: Ferrari seems to be on a losing streak recently. It certainly doesn't help to have the team's president who appears to be a sore loser who would blame everybody else for his team's dismal performances.
