Ang Moh Kids Take Cab To Avoid Monkeys
My dad recounted to me how 2 ang-moh teenage school boys flagged down his cab
along Swiss Club Road.
They boarded his cab and asked to be dropped off after my dad's cab overtook some monkeys along the road.
These 2 ang-moh kids took his cab just to avoid the monkeys! And they wanted a free ride! But my dad insisted that they paid the fare. So instead of making them pay $2.50, he collected $2 from them. These kids became chickens in the sight of these monkeys and wanted to make a monkey of my dad by not paying him any fare. But my dad refused to let them have it their way.

Men who listen to their wives when buying a car
Why do men listen to their wives when buying a new car? Women go mainly for looks. Factors like fuel-efficiency and performance don't concern most of them. There is a man who listened to his wife when deciding on which new car to buy. His wife prefered the Nissan Sunny as she thought it looked better than a Corolla Altis. So he ended up buying a petrol-guzzling 1.6L(A) Nissan Sunny
instead of a Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6L(A).
Worse still, the Sunny has inferior acceleration power compared to the Altis. The Sunny's petrol consumption was so high there were months when this man, who sells phonecards to various vendors around the island for a living, chalks up petrol bills close to $1,000!
While Toyota and Honda have managed to manufacture cars that are fuel-efficient, the likes of Mazada, Mitsubishi and Nissan are still trailing far behind in this aspect. While Honda and Toyota are using lighter metals and materials to build their cars, Nissan is still using chunky, heavy metal parts.
According to its manufacturer, the new Honda Civic 1.8L(A)
sips petrol like a 1.5L(A) car. It sure as hell is cool driving a 1.8L(A) Civic which sips petrol like a 1.5L(A) Toyota Vios.
